Start with the right page
The product page for the exact item and variant, with your preferred store or delivery ZIP set before you copy the URL.
Select the signal, not the noise
Select the price and any deal or clearance badge. Exclude Target Circle promos you would not use, sponsored carousels, and pickup time estimates.
In the page-area picker, keep the smallest section that still contains enough context to understand the alert.
Tune the alert
Daily fits regular purchases; weekly ad changes land on Sundays, so an early-week check catches new promotions.
Try “Clearance” only if you want alerts limited to changed elements containing that phrase. Learn how keyword monitoring works.
Preview, save, and refine
Check that Preview contains the information you expect, then save the monitor. If the first alerts include unrelated content, edit the monitor and make the selected area smaller.
Target prices differ between stores and online, and some deals are Circle-member only. Confirm Preview shows the price you would actually pay at your store.
