Start with the right page
The Costco.com page for the exact item. Warehouse-only items and prices are not shown online, so this works best for products sold on the website.
Select the signal, not the noise
Select the price and any "after $X OFF" instant-savings text. Exclude membership upsells, delivery estimates, and recommended products.
In the page-area picker, keep the smallest section that still contains enough context to understand the alert.
Tune the alert
Preview, save, and refine
Check that Preview contains the information you expect, then save the monitor. If the first alerts include unrelated content, edit the monitor and make the selected area smaller.
Some prices only appear after member sign-in, and online prices differ from warehouse prices. If Preview shows "Sign in for price", the monitor cannot see the member price.
