How to monitor Expedia price changes

Watch a hotel or flight search you have already refined and catch the drop.

Expedia prices move with demand and promotions. Once you know what you want, a monitor on that exact page replaces the daily re-search ritual.

01

Start with the right page

For hotels, the property page with your dates and room type selected; for flights, the search results URL. Confirm the URL reopens with your dates in a private browser window.

02

Select the signal, not the noise

Select the room rate or the itinerary rows you would book. Exclude "members save" banners, urgency nudges, and package upsells.

In the page-area picker, keep the smallest section that still contains enough context to understand the alert.

03

Tune the alert

Schedule

A few checks per day balance catching a dip against alert fatigue; increase frequency as the travel date approaches.

Keyword filter

Leave this blank to receive any change within your selected area.

Delivery

Start with email. Connect Zapier or IFTTT when the alert needs to enter another workflow.

04

Preview, save, and refine

Check that Preview contains the information you expect, then save the monitor. If the first alerts include unrelated content, edit the monitor and make the selected area smaller.

Good to know

Signed-in member prices and app-only deals can be lower than what the monitor sees, and rates may vary by the checking server's location. Verify the final price in your own session before booking.
